Amundi has appointed Richard Deutsch as Head of Credit Research, Fixed income. He will be based in London.
Deutsch joins Amundi from HSBC Global Asset Management where he was Global Head of Credit Research (2010 – 2018) and was responsible for the creation and ongoing evolution of the firm’s credit research policy and analytical methodology, global sector research groups and supervised the development of the intranet platform for the communication of credit research recommendations.
Prior to HSBC Deutsch ran credit research and the credit trading desk analytical units at BNP Paribas CIB in London (1999-2008). He had previously been European Head of the High Yield and Investment Grade Fixed income Research at Merrill Lynch (1994-1999).
Deustch, who began his career at Bank of America in 1989 as a leveraged loan credit officer, holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Vassar College and a MA from Princeton University.
