Vince Fertitta, a 27-year wealth management industry veteran, is to join Sanctuary Wealth as President of Wealth Management.

Fertitta previously served as division executive of Merrill Lynch’s Texas Mountain South Division, where he was responsible for more than 2,200 financial advisors across 10 states. He will join Sanctuary as a principal of the firm and serve as President of Wealth Management.

“I’m excited to empower Financial Advisors by providing the necessary support and infrastructure they need to truly own their business, all the while exceeding their clients’ expectations,” Fertitta says. “We are building a clear path from the wirehouse to the independent space and setting a new industry standard.”

The wealth management veteran began his career as a Financial Consultant at Shearson Lehman Brothers in 1992 before joining Merrill Lynch in 1996. He was a highly successful wirehouse financial advisor for a decade, and spent 17 years in management, ascending to senior leadership. Fertitta also served as market president of Bank of America’s San Antonio market for the past three years.

“I am thrilled to have a partner of Vince’s caliber leading wealth management. His experience and relationships are tremendous assets to Sanctuary,” says Sanctuary Wealth founder and CEO Jim Dickson. “We’ve never seen such strong interest in Partnered Independence. The growth we’ll see this summer and beyond is exciting, and we look forward to Vince helping us further our momentum.”

Fertitta will establish a hub in Texas, where Sanctuary reports particularly high levels of interest from wirehouse advisers.
