Edmond de Rothschild makes asset management promotions

RELATED TOPICS

Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management has promoted Benjamin Melman, previously CIO Asset Allocation and Sovereign Debt, to Global CIO Asset Management.

He will supervise all Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management’s investment teams and will join the Group’s Asset Management Executive Committee.

The investment platform is now organised around four sub-investment divisions: Asset Allocation & Sovereign Debt, Equity, Fixed Income, SRI.

Michaël Nizard takes the responsibility of the Asset Allocation and Sovereign Debt division, Christophe Foliot and Jacques-Aurélien Marcireau take the responsibility of the Equity division, Jean-Philippe Desmartin continues to lead the SRI team with a cross-functional approach across the large spectrum of the asset classes managed, and Alain Krief will join the Edmond de Rothschild Group overseeing the Fixed Income division. In his new role, Krief will take on the responsibility of both Corporate Debt and Convertible Bonds expertise from 1 July 2019. His extensive experience as well as excellent track record represent a key asset for our investment management platform.

The other appointments are effective immediately.

This evolution combines the promotion of highly experienced and expert fund managers, who have proved their value and quality within the Group, with an external professional widely recognised in the industry for his investment flair.

These recent changes will help us keep developing our high-conviction and active approach in the management of portfolios with the aim to create long term value and meet our investors’ needs.

“As a conviction-driven Investment House, we strive to provide our investors with transparent, high performance solutions which showcase our capacity for innovation and differentiation. I am sure that everyone will do their best to reach this ambitious goal and I would like to congratulate them all, and wish Alain a warm welcome,” says Christophe Caspar, Global CEO at Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management.
