Boutique wealth manager EQ Investors (EQ) has appointed Naomi Friend as a Client Director. Friend will be based in EQ’s London office.

Friend brings a wealth of knowledge from working with private clients, family offices and institutions over the last twenty years, including roles as Managing Director at Cambridge Associates and Investment Manager at Rothschild & Co. Most recently, her interest in impact and sustainable investing has seen her providing strategic advice to the Project Snowball partnership.

Friend will play a key role in meeting EQ’s growth goals. Her responsibilities will include promoting EQ’s fast growing DFM service to IFA networks and developing new business opportunities for investment mandates within the institutional sector.

John Spiers, Chief Executive of EQ, says: “It’s a fantastic vote of confidence that Naomi has chosen EQ ahead of numerous other organisations keen to secure her services. I am certain she will help us to capitalise further on our Positive Impact approach. I am very much looking forward to working with her and building on the strong foundations that have already been put in place.”

Friend adds: “It is a very exciting time for EQ, and I am enthusiastic about the opportunity to build partnerships that will enhance the fast-growing impact investing side of the business.”

EQ’s Positive Impact Portfolios are a unique proposition for investors who care about how and where their money is invested. They are available in ISA, SIPP, offshore bonds and General Investment Accounts.
