Deutsche Bank Wealth Management makes two more senior UK appointments

Deutsche Bank Wealth Management has hired Piers Harris and Roddy Boulton as Relationship Managers in the UK, continuing a buildout in the market that started with the appointment of Michael Morley as CEO of the UK business.

Morley says: “We are committed to building a model advice-led wealth management business in the UK. Piers and Roddy’s proven experience as trusted relationship managers make them an ideal choice to continue our growth.”
Deutsche Bank Wealth Management announced the launch of a service to offer regulated mortgages to private-banking clients in the UK at the end of last month, supported by a series of recent hires including Saydam Salaheddin, previously at Credit Suisse, as Head of Real Estate for Europe, and James Lockyer, previously at SG Kleinwort Hambros, as Head of UK Regulated Mortgages. It also announced the appointment of Alistair Jex from Coutts as its new head of Discretionary Portfolio Management in the UK.
Both Harris and Boulton will be Managing Directors, based in London, reporting to Raffaello Nemni, Head of Coverage and Client Acquisition, Wealth Management UK.
Harris has over 24 years’ experience in the financial services industry and joins from Credit Suisse UK where he was a senior relationship manager in the UHNW team since 2013. Prior to Credit Suisse, he held senior positions at Morgan Stanley and UBS. He is recognised as a highly technically proficient client adviser with a track record in initiating and building trusted strategic relationships with large UHNW clients.
Harris says: “I look forward to this exciting position and welcome the opportunity to work with Deutsche Bank Wealth Management as they extend their market-leading footprint and build their credentials with private clients in the UK.”
Boulton has extensive experience as a trusted client adviser and business leader, most recently as a senior relationship manager in the UHNW team at Credit Suisse UK. He previously held senior positions at TT International, Barclays Capital and CS First Boston NYC. A graduate of Durham University, he started his career at JPMorgan in Fixed Income Sales after a short service commission in the British Army.
Boulton says: “I am excited to be joining Deutsche Bank Wealth Management’s UK team at a time when the business has been reshaped and primed for growth. The business has a world-class investment proposition and access to one of the world’s leading global investment banks. I am looking forward to building its credentials with private clients in the UK.”
