HSBC Private Bank appoints Head of Wealth Planning & Advisory for EMEA


HSBC Private Bank has appointed Jeremy Franks as Head of Wealth Planning & Advisory, EMEA, effective 8 July. He will be based at HSBC’s Cork Street office in London.

In this newly created role, Franks will bring together and provide oversight of those in wealth planning and financial planning roles and build out the teams in the UK and EMEA. Franks will also be responsible for delivering a coordinated wealth planning service across EMEA, building upon the success of the existing teams to develop a service and product offering that serves the full spectrum of clients’ wealth and financial planning needs in each jurisdiction.
Franks brings with him over 20 years’ of experience in private client tax and wealth planning. In his most recent role he was the CEO at Knox Private Office. Prior to that he spent 12 years at UBS Wealth Management, most latterly as the UK Head of Wealth Planning Advisory which he held for almost seven years. Before that Jeremy worked at PwC in the Entrepreneurs and Private Clients team. Franks started his career in Private Client Tax at Smith & Williamson.
