Innovator to list August Series of S&P 500 Buffer ETFs

Innovator Capital Management (Innovator) is expanding its Defined Outcome Buffer ETF suite with the August Series of Innovator S&P 500 Buffer ETFs, anticipated to list on the Cboe, 1 August, 2019.

Innovator’s Defined Outcome ETFs are the subject of a patent application filed with the US Patent and Trademark Office, and are considered US Patent Pending (No. 6287474495).
“We look forward to broadening our Defined Outcome ETFsm suite with an August series of S&P 500 Buffer ETFs,” says Bruce Bond, CEO of Innovator ETFs. “The advisor community has been readily embracing our Defined Outcome ETFs to deliver portfolio strategies to investors that can both participate in the market upside to a cap while maintaining built-in downside buffers against loss. We believe having a wider range of Innovator S&P 500 Buffer ETFs available provides advisors with greater flexibility to manage portfolios, be it to lock in gains, secure new buffer levels to mitigate downside risk, or obtain higher upside caps as prevailing market conditions change over time.”
The Innovator S&P 500 Buffer ETFsm suite seeks to provide investors with exposure to the S&P 500 Price Return Index (S&P 500) up to a Cap, with downside buffer levels of 9 per cent, 15 per cent, or 30 per cent over an Outcome Period of approximately one year. The ETFs reset annually and can be held indefinitely. Innovator S&P 500 Buffer ETFs, with over USD1 billion in AUM as of 24 July, 2019, are among the fastest growing new category of ETFs in the market today.
