PortfolioMetrix appoints new UK MD


PortfolioMetrix has appointed Ben Peele as Managing Director (MD) of the UK division. Former MD and Head of Innovation, Mike Roberts, will be taking on the global role of Chief Proposition Officer (CPO).

Peele joined PortfolioMetrix as UK Head of Strategy in April 2019. He has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry and over 12 years’ experience running large, complex and cross-border teams.
Prior to joining PortfolioMetrix he ran the largest equity sales team at UBS Investment Bank. While at UBS Ben was responsible for advising a wide range of institutional clients (pension funds, mutual funds, hedge funds, sovereign wealth funds) on where to invest their assets in Europe. He was also part of a multi-asset committee, working with peers in fixed income and foreign exchange to deliver insightful market commentary to clients. Ben also has investment experience in Asia, Japan and Emerging Markets.

Former MD, Roberts’ move into the global Chief Proposition Officer role within the group, will see him actively driving and enhancing the award-winning proposition across the multi-location business. In addition to the UK, PortfolioMetrix has offices in South Africa, the Republic of Ireland, Sweden and a presence in Continental Europe.
Roberts says: “As PortfolioMetrix continues to grow, it’s important that we manage the way our proposition is developed to meet the specific needs of different regions. Ensuring best practice in terms of regulation, marketing and innovation requires focus and I am delighted to be able to dedicate more of my time to this whilst leaving the growth of the UK business in Ben’s capable hands.”
