Chris Duncan is to join offshore law firm Carey Olsen’s trusts and private wealth practice in the Cayman Islands.
In the years preceding his appointment as counsel to the trusts and private wealth team at Carey Olsen, Duncan worked for another offshore law firm in both its litigation and international trusts and private client team. He specialises in contentious and non-contentious trusts and private client matters. Duncan has been recognised for his practice in both the UK and Guernsey editions of eprivateclient’s ‘Top 35 Under 35’ initiative for the past two years.
Duncan has a background in commercial litigation, where he has acted on a range of financial services litigation, regulatory matters and investigations centred on the exchange of tax information in recent years.
Partner Bernadette Carey, head of the trusts and private wealth practice in the Cayman Islands, says: “Our trusts and private wealth client base in the Cayman Islands continues to grow and Chris’ appointment is testament to that fact. He brings with him a fabulous reputation in the offshore legal market and we’re delighted that he is now part of our ever-growing Cayman Islands team.”
