PGIM Fixed Income adds four to UK team

PGIM Fixed Income, a global asset manager offering active solutions across all fixed income markets with USD838 billion in assets under management as of 30 September 2019, has hired four professionals into its growing London-based team.

PGIM Fixed Income is part of PGIM, the global investment management business of US-based Prudential Financial and one of the world’s top 10 asset managers with more than USD1 trillion in assets under management as of 30 Septembert 2019.

Mark Fulwood has joined PGIM Fixed Income’s EMEA Client Advisory Group as a UK Client Advisor, responsible for deepening institutional client relationships across the UK and Ireland, reporting to Conor Dempsey, head of UK and Middle East, Client Advisory Group.

Since 2006, Fulwood has held a number of senior roles at Henderson Global Investors, now Janus Henderson Investors. Most recently, he was head of Institutional Business Development – UK and Ireland and was a senior member of Janus Henderson Investors’ UK Institutional team. Prior to that he held client servicing roles at a number of asset managers globally.

Additionally, PGIM Fixed Income has hired three senior credit analysts, Aman Mahal, Gianluca Consoli and Terry Nguyen, reporting to Peter Allan, the London-based head of European Leveraged Finance Credit Research. They join an industry-leading global research team of more than 120 professionals worldwide and are responsible for providing recommendations to the European Leveraged Finance team.

Mahal joins from Janus Henderson Investors, where he spent 10 years as a bond analyst, having previously spent two years as an equity analyst. He began his career at PWC where he worked in the Business Recovery Services unit.

Nguyen joins from BofA Merrill Lynch where he was a high yield and distressed debt analyst for seven years, having previously been a credit publishing analyst for three years at the same firm and at KBC Alternative Investment Management and Societe Generale CIB.

Consoli joins from Columbia Threadneedle where he was a high yield analyst for six years, having previously been a credit analyst at Citi.

These hires follow the announcement in September 2019 that PGIM Fixed Income hired Anna de Jong into the newly created role of Client Advisor for Benelux and the Nordics, based in the Netherlands.

Richard Greenwood (pictured), head of PGIM Fixed Income’s Credit Group and London office, says: “As our clients – who are based in more than 40 countries – look for more global solutions to their investment needs, we have been increasing our presence outside of the US. In addition to welcoming Anna to our new Amsterdam office, we are delighted to now welcome to our London team Mark, Aman, Terry and Gianluca, who will all be key to helping us build on our record of success.”
