Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management (EDR) has added Nicolas Leprince and Julien Tisserand the Asset Allocation and Sovereign Debt investment team run by Michaël Nizard and will be in charge of managing the EdR Fund Bond Allocation.

Leprince and Tisserand are both seasoned bond market specialists with complementary experience from working in major financial groups.

They combine fundamental and quantitative investment expertise over a broad spectrum of bond sub-asset classes from sovereign debt via credit markets to emerging country debt. Both have rolled out active investment strategies based on highly-structured processes. Their past experience and complementarity will be a perfect fit for Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management’s bond platform and will help enrich EdR Fund Bond Allocation’s investment process even if it will remain fundamentally unchanged.

As active members of the Fixed Income Committee, they will be in charge of the fund’s bond allocation process, helping develop active investment in this flagship fund, which reflects our strong bond market convictions. The fund has close to EUR3 billion under management and has for several years been a big success with various kinds of investor.

Christophe Caspar, Global CEO, Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management, says: “We are delighted to welcome Nicolas and Julien. Our bond platform is a core element in our business and these two new talents will boost our investment and research capabilities in what is a vast investment universe.”

Benjamin Melman, Chief Investment Officer, adds: “In their previous positions, Nicolas and Julien showcased their expertise and a perfect grasp of bond markets. They are more than well- equipped to seek out returns on a broad spectrum of market segments and strategies. Their complementarity will be particularly useful in tackling the challenges on today’s markets.”
