Gold rush

It’s all about gold again, with an interview with Juan Carlos Artiguas, director of investment research at the World Gold Council, reporting on the drivers behind the rise in the gold price and particularly the demand for it in ETF form.

We also have an interview with More Carrot, a company that specialises in optimising and outsourcing documents, which has reviewed 44 UCITS prospectuses and found most of them wanting. Read Philippa Aylmer’s interview for more detail.

In other news, Fitz Partners surveyed their own UK fund charges database and found that 23 per cent of retail assets may still be paying trail commissions. Fitz Partners expects to see that number decline in coming months – and about time too.

Finally, we have an interview with Kingswood Group’s Leigh Philpot who explains the global expansion plans the firm holds, with operations in the US and Asia on the horizon.
