JHC appoints Chief Technology Officer

Wealth management fintech firm JHC Systems (JHC) has appointed Ron Tomlinson as Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Tomlinson brings unrivalled experience heading up wealth management product development teams and has been Head of Solutions Development at JHC since January 2018.

As CTO, Tomlinson will now be responsible for all delivery teams as well as leading JHC’s technology strategy to ensure a constantly evolving suite of services and platforms.

As part of the FNZ Group, Ron is also responsible for delivering JHC’s open API integration with FNZ’s product suite, giving clients access to the whole range of FNZ products to ensure scalable access and collaboration between both firms.

Tomlinson says: “Since joining JHC last year, I’ve found an organisation that matches my enthusiasm for software development and understands the importance of rapid delivery. DevOps practices and fast feedback cycles are a big focus for us to enable that rapid delivery. We’re aware that every day counts, so if a client tells us what they need on a Monday, we’ll have the demo ready by Friday.”

John Blackman CEO, JHC, says: “We are delighted to appoint Ron as CTO and recognise the huge contribution that he has already made to JHC in a relatively short amount of time. Following the acquisition, there is a significant opportunity to consolidate JHC and FNZ’s capabilities to make sure that we can offer our clients scalable technology that will be effective now and in the future. Ron’s appointment will help ensure that we remain at the forefront of the fintech industry.

“The regulatory landscape is ever evolving, which is why it is so vital that we are constantly developing our offering to ensure that our clients are able to stay ahead of the curve. For instance, we know that ESG monitoring and accessibility via Cloud continue to be a big priority for our clients, so making sure that they are best equipped to manage that is currently a key focus.”
