FLX Distribution appoints Director

LX Distribution, a professional network technology platform bringing together asset management firms and independent distribution professionals, has appointed Michael Mastey to the newly created position of Director in the Relationship Specialist Group.  In this new role Mastey is responsible for coordinating distribution teams working with FLX’s asset management members.  

“FLX is building a new model and a new relationship between high-quality asset management firms and the talented distribution professionals who bring those managers to market,” says Brian Moran, FLX Founder and Chief Executive Officer. “Michael will be on the front lines of making those relationships happen and making FLX the premier destination for asset managers to build cost-effective, customised, and tailored distribution solutions with experienced, proven entrepreneurs. We are excited to have Michael onboard.” 

The appointment is effective immediately and Mastey reports to Moran.  

Mastey most recently served at PNC where he was Managing Director, Producing National Sales Manager in the Financial Intermediary Division, from 2016 through 2019. Prior to that he held a similar role at iCapital Network, Inc. and before that more than six years at PNC. Previously, Mastey held senior leadership roles in asset management at Bear Stearns, Fidelity Investments, and Rydex. Mastey holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Liberal Arts and a Minor in Business Administration from Villanova University.
