Bernstein Private Wealth Management (Bernstein), a unit of AllianceBernstein (AB), has appointed Kristen Dalton as a Managing Director, joining the leadership team in its New York City office. In the role, Dalton will work closely with her team to help high-net-worth individuals, business owners, families, and charitable groups align investment and wealth planning decisions with their long-term goals. She will also continue to leverage her family engagement expertise in areas such as socially responsible investing, divorce and next-gen education.

“As we face significant economic and social challenges, both nationally and in the New York City area, our clients are more concerned than ever about not only preserving their wealth but using it to make a meaningful impact on society,” says David Barnard, Head of Private Wealth Management. “Kristen’s deep expertise in family dynamics makes her particularly well suited to help our clients set an intention with their wealth and manage it in a way that resonates across generations.”

“This is an opportune time to be joining Bernstein’s New York leadership team as we further our engagement with families on all aspects of their financial health and well-being. With many families having physically quarantined together, we are using this time to discuss important issues whether it’s using wealth to address social justice or educating the next generation on financial literacy. I look forward to continuing these conversations with our clients as their objectives evolve with our ever-changing world,” says Dalton.

Prior to joining the firm earlier this year, Dalton served as VP and Head of Family Law Advisory at BNY Mellon Wealth Management, where she worked closely with families going through divorce. Previously, she was at Gordon Brothers Group, based in Boston, MA. Dalton holds a BS in business administration from Villanova University and an MBA in finance from Boston College. She is a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst.
