Rathbones expands DFM sales team with new hire

Rathbones, one of the UK’s leading providers of investment management services for individuals, charities and professional advisers, has appointed Peter Hooker as a DFM specialist within Rathbones’ distribution team. Hooker will report to Philip Turner, head of DFM specialists.

Hooker joins Rathbones with over 25 years’ experience within financial services, latterly with City Asset Management where he was a business development manager, with responsibility across bespoke and model portfolios, as well as specialist solutions. Prior to this he was an intermediary client director at Heartwood Investment Management where he focused on strategic relationship management and new business development in the intermediary marketplace. He has also worked as a business development manager for Sanlam.
Hooker will work alongside colleagues in the distribution teams for the eastern regions, associate sales director for the east, Andrew Austin, and regional sales executive, Alfie Hayes.
Earlier this year, Rathbones appointed Jake Lewis and Luciano Caira as DFM specialists, for London and Scotland respectively.

Greg Mullins, head of sales, says: “Peter brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the team and will play a key role in helping us to increase our scope among the adviser community in the east of the country. With the growing emphasis on financial planning, more advisers are looking to outsource investment propositions to DFMs, and our aim is to help deliver an overall superior outcome for their clients.”
