Purchasing ETFs now available in VTB Online

VTB is expanding the investment opportunities available through mobile and Internet banking with customers now able to buy exchange-traded funds (ETF) via VTB Online.VTB customers will be able to purchase ETFs in rubles, dollars or euros on VTB Online. To do this, the user just needs to log in to the “Investments” section, select a fund and make the purchase.

Exchange-traded funds are ready-made portfolios of stocks, giving users of the platform the ability to invest money in a variety of stocks at once, allowing them to minimise the risk of investment. In addition, users can start investing with a single share, which provides a low cost for initial investments.

“VTB provides the widest range of exchange-traded funds in the country. This product was introduced to the Russian market just a year ago and during this time it has become quite popular. Even with very small investment amounts, it allows you to invest in a widely diversified portfolio of securities, while the commission is minimal. It will now be even easier to buy directly from VTB Online. Making investments a clear and accessible way to increase funds is our strategic priority,” says Vladimir Potapov, Chief Executive Officer of VTB Capital Investments, Senior Vice President and Head of VTB’s Brokerage Services Department.
