July ETF flows across Europe totalled EUR13.3 billion, according to Lyxor ETF’s monthly report.
Vincent Denoiseux, Head of ETF Research and Solutions at Lyxor reports that Fixed Income and Equity ETFs accumulated EUR4.9 billion and EUR8.0 billion respectively, with ESG ETFs continuing their strong trend, gathering EUR3.7 billion, close to their previous monthly record. ESG ETFs have gathered a total of EUR18.0 billion in 2020 so far, making it a record year, Lyxor ETFs says.
Smart Beta ETFs continued to struggle with outflows of EUR1.5 billion in July. Gold was the story for July, with year to date inflows of EUR11.3 billion in assets into gold funds and ETPs domiciled in Europe.
The report says: “Investors are now eyeing further gains in the gold price amid this massive stimulus, which is likely to keep real rates at record lows over the medium term.”
