Vistra has acquired Jotaerre, a specialist in Brazil for Services Tax (ISS) Calculation & Collection/Payment.

With this acquisition, Vistra enhances its presence in Brazil to expand its scope of support to international and local clients with tailor-made solutions in company formation and management, secretarial, tax and accounting services. Acquiring Jotaerre also provides Vistra with enhanced tax expertise and services.

Founded in 1989, Jotaerre is based in San Paulo, Brazil, covering 4,170 municipalities across South America’s largest country. It offers differentiated ISS Tax services with a low-cost technology solution, which interfaces directly with multiple Brazilian Services Tax submission systems – offering clients a smooth and efficient tax reporting experience.

“As a well-established business, Jotaerre fits seamlessly with Vistra’s operations and aspirations in Brazil. By bringing together the two teams, our clients in the region will gain unparalleled access to top quality expertise, technology and services, which will help them grow and manage their business. We are excited to welcome the Jotaerre team to the Vistra family,” says Scott Kraemer, Regional Managing Director, Americas at Vistra.

“Having worked closely with Vistra for the past two years, we see Vistra as the ideal partner for Jotaerre,” says Jair Vitoreli, Partner of Jotaerre. “The combination of skills and talent that Vistra and Jotaerre professionals will bring to the table can only benefit our clients for the years to come. I would like to thank Vistra for their support thus far, and we are grateful for the collaboration and mutual respect we hold for one another.”

Marcelo Borgheti will lead Vistra’s expanded business as Country Managing Director, Vistra Brazil.  Jotaerre will be rebranded to Vistra in due course.
