Hang Seng Indexes licenses China High Dividend Yield Index to CTBC Investments as basis for ETF

RELATED TOPICS

Hang Seng Indexes Company has licensed the Hang Seng China High Dividend Yield Index to CTBC Investments to serve as the underlying index for the creation of an exchange-traded fund (ETF).

The CTBC Hang Seng China High Dividend Yield ETF was listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange on 4 February 2021.

The Hang Seng China High Dividend Yield Index aims to reflect the overall performance of high-dividend-yield mainland China securities that are listed in Hong Kong. In particular, the Index excludes companies classified in the Casinos and Gaming or Tobacco sectors, in response to the growing ESG investment trend.

The new ETF will bring the number of exchange-traded products linked to indexes in the Hang Seng Family of Indexes to 89 – with listings on 17 different stock exchanges across the world. As at the end of January 2021, assets under management in products passively tracking indexes in the Hang Seng Family of Indexes had reached a total of about USD38.7 billion.
