Octavia Wealth Advisors (Octavia), a USD1.4 billion registered investment advisory firm, has appointed Cristina Campabadal to spearhead its growth in Latin America (LatAm) and Spain.

Campabadal joins the firm with more than 17 years of experience in international wealth management and private banking. Her addition signals the firm’s intention to expand its service reach in Spanish-speaking markets both in the Americas and Europe.

Octavia’s principals have served international clients for more than a decade and the growing need for wealth management advice for a global-minded client base inspired the firm to make Latin America a priority for expansion.

“When we launched Octavia last year, we knew LatAm was on the immediate horizon for our growth plan,” says Luis Strohmeier, a partner and wealth advisor at Octavia who is originally from Peru. “Cristina is a great addition to our team. She has a deep understanding of the international finance and wealth space, including what families need, and has trusted relationships with clients, multifamily offices and attorneys that will allow us to build our international services.”

As director of business development and wealth advisor for the RIA firm, Campabadal will build relationships and work with existing clients in LatAm, North America and Spain to deliver holistic financial planning advice.

Prior to joining Octavia, Campabadal spent a decade in international private banking before starting her own international financial services company, which provided clients in Spain and LatAm with a trusted advisor to manage and maintain assets. Supported by this strong background, Campabadal is well positioned in the international wealth space to grow the firm’s reach outside of the US.

Octavia also recently launched a Spanish version of its website to cater to LatAm clients. With multiple advisors who are native Spanish speakers, the firm sees abundant opportunities to help clients abroad by providing sound financial advice for long-term wealth maintenance and growth.

“I’m excited to work with such a talented, trustworthy and experienced group of advisors to help the firm grow abroad,” says Campabadal. “The comprehensive services that Octavia provides in real estate, tax, investment and more are greatly needed in LatAm.”

Campabadal is from Barcelona and lives in Málaga, Spain, and will travel to LatAm countries as well as New York and Miami to help build the firm’s global presence.
