Multrees plans to double client base in five years

Multrees Investor Services, a provider of bespoke platform and investment services, has set out ambitious growth plans to double its client base over the next three to five years.

The drive for growth will be led by newly appointed Chief Commercial Officer, Andrew Back, who brings extensive experience to Multrees, having previously worked on the UBS EAM platform as well as being part of the launch teams behind both the Novia and Selestia platforms.
 
Back explains how the Multrees platform, which currently over £10 billion assets under administration and 23 clients across the wealth management, family office, institutional and financial planning sectors, will achieve this ambition: “Whether it’s a family office or a financial planning firm, businesses across the advice sector are reaching a tipping point where they are demanding more from their technology and platform providers. And quite rightly because for too long now firms have been expected to fit around a completely standardised platform or technology proposition, which inevitably compromise’s the adviser’s way of doing things and also asks their clients to pay for services they don’t need or want.
 
“At Multrees our experts have always done things differently by taking platform service components and building these completely around the needs of each firm we work with, to deliver their own bespoke platform. This approach, alongside the support from my new sales team colleagues, leaves us poised to answer the demand for change from the advice industry and we are confident that this will deliver exciting results for both our business and clients going forward.”
  
Putting these growth plans into action will be four new sales team members who together bring with them extensive experience. David Maher joins Multrees as Business Development Manager, from his previous role as Regional Director for Aviva. Robin Copley, Business Development Manager and John Trower, Sales Solutions Consultant, also join Multrees from specialist SIPP provider James Hay. And finally, the sales team will be supported by independent consultant and well-known industry expert Paul Miles who has worked with advisers and platforms for over 40 years, most recently through his own consultancy firm, Silverback Consultancy.
