Tilney Smith & Williamson appoints new financial planner


Wealth management and professional services group Tilney Smith & Williamson has appointed Johnross Busby-Cartwright-Owen to the join the Guildford team as a financial planner for Tilney Financial Planning Ltd. 

Busby-Cartwright-Owen has worked in the industry since 2008, holding various roles within the high net-worth advice space. Most recently, he worked as a senior financial planner at Aviva, specialising in clients approaching or in retirement. Prior to this he spent over 10 years at HSBC as a premier relationship manager. 

Prior to their merger in September 2020, both Tilney and Smith & Williamson successfully migrated to a remote working model ahead of the first lockdown in mid-March. Teams are currently working from home, with investment managers’ and financial planners having full access to group systems through secure technology.
