WiseAlpha, the UK’s specialist digital bond market platform, has launched Bond Academy, the company’s Corporate Bonds education platform, on the Open University.

The launch on The Open University platform marks WiseAlpha’s latest partnership in its mission to provide free access to the expert information investors need to fully understand how corporate bonds work.

The Bond Academy is a free CPD accredited course which exists to educate investors about all aspects of the corporate bond market. The course consists of easy-to-follow units which provide all the information needed to become a confident and sophisticated investor. The aim of this facility is to educate the masses about corporate bonds, which were once prohibitively only utilised by the financial elite with large sums to invest. WiseAlpha’s new approach gives investors the opportunity to expand their knowledge on this superior asset class, through informative online tutorials with new modules being released each month. The course aims to inform about bond investing from industry experts.

The Bond Academy is directed by George Flynn, an independent instructor and investment expert with more than 15 years of experience in high yield. Flynn has worked closely with WiseAlpha to build a learning system that covers all the essential aspects of learning to invest, including assessing the quality of a company, understanding a company’s structure and performing a basic credit analysis.

Multiple lockdowns have seen a wide range of people flocking to online learning resources to learn a new skill, or to finetune their pre-existing talents. The Bond Academy has seen an increase in users of all different skill sets, turning to the easy-to-use platform to develop their investment knowledge. The well-designed hub containing free modules has the potential to attract a whole new wave of investors, who lack the confidence to manage their own portfolios, but are keen to learn the ins and outs of the investment market.

Rezaah Ahmad, the founder and CEO of WiseAlpha Technologies, says: “We are delighted to be announcing the WiseAlpha Bond Academy’s launch on the Open University. The Bond Academy courses are taught by experts in the corporate bond field, and provide a great opportunity for a wide range of investors to fully understand the market in which they wish to invest. We are proud to be opening up the world of learning to existing and potential investors.”
