Collaborative music creation platform Endlesss will stage a live-streamed collaborative jam session, with highlight moments minted as clean NFTs in real-time – in one of the first events of its kind. The event will be hosted on Twitch and Mixcloud at 8PM BST on 15 April.

Endlesss founder Tim Exile will improvise live with musician and technologist 1×1, the alias of guitarist Stevie J Jones, in the musical equivalent of a head-to-head Esports competition. Once the hour-long jam ends, the two artists will review all of the “Rifffs” – Endlesss’s short-form musical equivalent to a tweet or TikTok video – created during the performance and their chosen highlights will be immediately minted as NFTs on hicetnunc.xyz – a rapidly-growing NFT site based on the Tezos blockchain.

Tim Exile explains: “The full process – from the first notes of the performance to the NFTs being selected, refined and made available to the public for purchase – will be broadcast live to provide inspiration and embrace transparency. With DIY musicians more curious than ever to explore possibilities for reclaiming agency over their creative output in the NFT ecosystem, Endlesss aims to demonstrate the exciting new ways to capture and present spontaneous musical magic as collectibles, celebrating highlight moments from an ongoing creative journey.”

The event is powered by Endlesss’ unique technology built for real-time collaboration, which allows musicians to play together live from anywhere in the world while maintaining a complete browsable history of their collaboration, separated into individual “Rifffs” – a unit of creative expression designed to capture spontaneous moments of true collaborative creativity.

While the majority of digital marketplaces for NFTs use the Ethereum blockchain, which has caused controversy in the crypto-art community, Endlesss has selected a Tezos-based marketplace due to its use of “Proof of Stake” technology, which means it uses a fraction of the high amount of energy used by the Ethereum blockchain.
