Walker Crips makes new hires for Southampton office launch

Walker Crips Group, a national investment, wealth management and FinTech group, has appointed Nick Lee and Charles Cavendish to its new Southampton office.

Lee joins the financial planning division of Walker Crips as Regional Director, with over three decades’ experience in the industry including 20 years at Grant Thornton and three years at Gallagher/Argentis. In his new role, Lee will divide his time between growing the Wealth Management Division and advising high net worth private clients and trustees, with a particular specialism in tax-efficient investment planning and estate planning.

Charles Cavendish also joins the Southampton-based financial planning division from Gallagher/Argentis, bringing over a decade’s experience advising at various national IFA practices. As Associate Director, Cavendish will work with a variety of trustees and high net worth clients, specialising in estate planning, pensions and investment advice.

Walker Crips is expanding its financial planning offering with the opening of its Southampton office in the summer. Lee and Cavendish are joined by Kris Watts and Jasmine Ng, Paraplanner and Wealth Administrator respectively, who will also be based in the new Hampshire regional office.

Dominic Martin, Managing Director of Walker Crips Wealth Management says: “The Walker Crips Wealth Management Division is going from strength to strength and we’re excited to welcome Nick, Charles, Kris and Jasmine to our new Southampton office. The opening of the branch this summer is a continuation of our ambitious growth plans in the financial planning market, and the team’s depth and wealth of experience will without doubt further advance our service offering to clients.”

Lee says: “Walker Crips is on an exciting growth trajectory as it expands its financial planning reach into the South region. Devotion to client service is at the core of their offering and I look forward to working alongside this skilled and experienced team as the company’s journey gains further momentum.”

Cavendish says: “I am delighted to join Walker Crips to help to build a quality financial planning service in the South of England. Walker Crips is well known for its forward thinking and innovation, with over 100 years of providing clients with expertise across a range of financial services. With the benefit of local support from a longstanding team, I am looking forward to working with clients to deliver financial planning solutions and helping them to realise their ambitions.”
