Central London Law firm, Payne Hicks Beach LLP, has announced six internal promotions, including two new Partners and three Senior Associates, across the firm’s Family, Dispute Resolution and Private Client departments.
Catherine Costley and Andrew Willan have been made Partners within the Family and Dispute Resolution practices respectively. In addition, Clare Hetherington, Klara Kronbergs, and Dean Ryan have been promoted to Senior Associate and Benedict Jennings to Senior Tax and Trust Manager in the Private Client department. These appointments are effective from 1 June 2021 and reflect the firm’s commitment to developing internal talent.
Costley is a well-respected family lawyer who advises on all aspects of private family law. She has particular expertise in divorce and complex financial matters and is regularly instructed in matters under Schedule 1 of the Children Act and in relation to private children law issues such as contact disputes. Her work is often international in nature and her experience spans jurisdictions including France, Italy, Russia and America.
Having joined Payne Hicks Beach in 2011, Wilan has acted in numerous high-profile claims for both claimants and defendants in the High Court, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court. In particular, Wilan is highly regarded for his significant expertise in both commercial litigation and privacy and media law as well as associated areas relating to the protection of personal information including data protection, cyber security, fraud, and third-party disclosure requests.
The promotions of Hetherington, Kronbergs and Ryan to Senior Associate and Benedict to Senior Tax and Trust Manager mark well their respective skills and abilities as Private Client, Tax and Trust practitioners, and demonstrate the continuing excellence as well as the wide range of Payne Hicks Beach’s offering to Private Clients.
