Global ETF assets reached a record USD9.46 trillion US dollars at the end of July, according to ETF data providers ETFGI, marking 26 months of consecutive net inflows.
ETFs and ETPs listed globally gathered net inflows of USD80.45 billion during July, bringing year-to-date net inflows to a record USD739.54 billion which is higher than the USD373.01 billion gathered at this point last year.
Assets invested in the global ETFs/ETPs industry have increased by 1.2 per cent from USD9.35 trillion at the end of June 2021, to USD9.46 trillion at the end of July.
Record year to date 2021 net inflows of USD739.54 billion have beaten the prior record of USD390.93 billion gathered in year to date in 2017.
ETFGI reports that USD739.54 billion in year to date net inflows are just USD22 billion lower than the full year 2020 record net inflows of USD490.19 billion. There have been USD1.13 trillion in net inflows gathered in the past 12 months, and assets have increased 18.4 per cent YTD in 2021, going from USD7.99 trillion at end of 2020, to USD9.46 trillion.
