Amundi reports that European registered ETFs enjoyed a record month with in-flows of EUR26.9 billion, a historic high, over January 2022.
In terms of equities, the firm writes that both European-registered ETFs and equity ETF inflows reached record highs of EUR23 billion. ESG strategies continued its strong performance gaining EUR4.9 billion, the firm says. In light with the current market environment, Value and Financials had massive in-flows with EUR2.2 billion and EUR2.6 billion respectively.
In terms of fixed income, European investors favoured government debt bonds vs corporate debt bonds with EUR1.2 billion and EUR883 million respectively. Allocations to price sensitive strategies were lower than in previous months.
Amundi reports that allocations to global ETFs matched this ebullience with investors assigning EUR68.2 billion to these strategies. Flows in the European market almost matched those in the US, with this region gaining EUR30.3 billion, while Asian gains were just over third of these levels at EUR11 billion.
