The global ETFs industry gathered USD76.40 billion of net inflows in January 2022 according to data providers ETFGI.
The firm writes that due to market declines in January the assets invested in the global ETFs industry decreased by 3.9 per cent from a record USD10.27 trillion at the end of December 2021, to USD9.87 trillion.
Net inflows of USD76.40 billion in January are slightly lower than the net inflows of USD85.38 billion gathered in January 2021 but ETFs have gathered USD1.29 trillion in net inflows in the past 12 months, with 32 months of consecutive net inflows.
Equity ETFs and ETPs listed globally gathered USD61.85 billion net inflows in January 2022, the firm says.
