SEI is back with a new partner, having announced the launch in the US of the SEI Strategies featuring Dimensional, a suite of model portfolios developed using ETFs managed by Dimensional Fund Advisors.

J Womack, Managing Director of Investment Products and Personalization for SEI’s Advisor business, explains that process of working with Dimensional in this instance started with an alignment of SEI’s organisational values and mission vision.

Womack says: “Our tag line is ‘building brave futures’ which is about us as employees trying to drive innovation and change and for our clients it is about helping them to build and protect their wealth over time and for that brave future they have imagined for themselves.”

Dimensional’s tag line is ‘transforming lives’. “We have a long history in the industry and we are very focused on end clients, helping them to build strong financial foundations to power their financial goals over time,” Womack says.

“There is a very disciplined focus from us from the asset allocation perspective and from Dimensional, at the security level and how those factors have the opportunity to drive excess return.

“We felt that we could bring a product that could make a difference for our end clients, within the ETF structure.”

The SEI Strategies featuring Dimensional include six model portfolios across a broad range of investment objectives and risk tolerances. The portfolios leverage SEI’s asset allocation approach alongside Dimensional’s ETFs to create strategies that deliver the ability for advisers to provide investment personalisation, efficiency, and transparency.
