Year to date global ETF asset inflows are second highest on record

ETFGI reports that the global ETFs industry gathered net inflows of USD33.45 billion during September, bringing year-to-date net inflows to USD593.20 billion.

The firm writes that during September 2022, assets invested in the global ETFs industry decreased by 8.3 per cent, from USD9.11 trillion at the end of August to USD8.35 trillion.

YTD, the net inflows of USD593.20 billion are the second highest on record, after 2021 YTD net inflows of USD923.84 billion, and there have been 40 months of consecutive net inflows.

There were assets of USD8.35 trillion invested in global ETFs industry at the end of September 2022. Assets have decreased 18.6 per cent YTD in 2022, going from USD10.27 trillion at end of 2021 to USD8.35 trillion.
