Amundi’s ETF Market Flows Analysis reveals that investor confidence recovered in October as global ETFs gained EUR111 billion – a more than three-fold increase on the previous month when flows were at EUR 34 billion.
Like September, equities were the most popular asset class this month with EUR79.9 billion in-flows vs EUR34.2 billion for fixed income.
Turning to the European Registered ETF market, Amundi writes that the rotation to European UCITS equity ETFs integrating ESG approaches continues, with EUR3.2 billion in-flows.
In terms of fixed income, Amundi writes that bonds were the most popular asset class for European investors gaining EUR5.6 billion in October. Investors allocated EUR 2.7 billion to corporate debt and EUR2.3 billion to government debt. As with equities, European UCITS fixed income ESG ETFs were popular, gaining EUR 1.1billion.
