2022 was a year many would like to forget but as Axel Lomholt, Chief Product Officer, STOXX and DAX Indices, at Qontigo, writes in his piece in the report: “ETFs have maintained their popularity in 2022 despite the challenging market conditions.
“As we have witnessed before, investors prioritise ‘safe products’ during uncertainty. We saw the same pattern during the global financial crisis,” he says. “ETFs tend to ‘do their job’ well in all market conditions, which investors appreciate.”
