Global ETFs gathered USD19.96 bn in February: ETFGI

Global ETFs gathered USD19.96 billion in net inflows during February bringing year to date net inflows to USD79.79 billion, according to ETF data providers ETFGI. 

During February 2023, assets invested in the global ETF industry decreased by 2.7 per cent, from USD9.87 trillion at the end of January to USD9.60 trillion.

YTD net inflows of USD79.79 billion are the sixth highest on record, while the highest recorded YTD net inflows are USD224.30 billion in 2021 followed by YTD net inflows of USD182.45 billion in 2022.

February was the 45th month of consecutive net inflows.  ETFGI writes that assets increased 3.6 per cent YTD in 2023, going from USD9.26 trillion at end of 2022 to USD9.60 trillion.

Equity ETFs and ETPs listed globally saw USD1.47 billion in net outflows in February 2023.
