Q: When was CSOP launched?

A: CSOP was founded in 2008, as the first Chinese asset manager to establish an offshore presence.

Q: What is the range of investment products that it offers?

A: Main products are ETF, with well-known products such as 3033 (CSOP Hang Seng Tech Index ETF), 2822 (CSOP FTSE China A50 ETF), and L&I ETF series.

Q: What are the firm’s assets under management?

A: As of Dec 31 2022, USD12.64 billion

Q: What is the primary client base for CSOP?

A: For some products, predominantly institutions (such as China government bond ETFs), others are predominately retail. Majority of our clients are in Asia, with some north American institution clients.

Q: What is their appetite for ETPs?

A: In recent years, their appetite for ETPs increased significantly, especially HK-listed ETPs as they have gained assets/liquidity.

Q: Is a particular type of ETP more popular than others?

A: The popular ones in Asia are the one with high trading value and clear theme, such as CSOP Hang Seng Tech Index ETF.

Q: Future plans for CSOP?

A: Continue to develop products that are innovative and can serve as a good tool for investors to trade/hedge.
