Seven new ETF offerings were launched for the week, each with a distinct value proposition for investors. Detailed below are the respective launches from each asset manager.
J.P. Morgan Asset Management Expands BetaBuilders ETF Suite. The firm has launched three new solutions that will invest in fixed-rate US Treasuries, with each ETF offering targeting bonds at different segments of the yield curve. The new solutions in question are the JPMorgan BetaBuilders US Treasury Bond 1-3 Year ETF, JPMorgan BetaBuilders US Treasury Bond 3-10 Year ETF, and JPMorgan BetaBuilders US Treasury Bond 20+ Year ETF. The new ETFs are designed to complement the firm’s existing BetaBuilders ETF line-up which consists of funds such as the JPMorgan BetaBuilders 1-5 Year U.S. Aggregate Bond ETF, the JPMorgan BetaBuilders U.S. Aggregate Bond ETF, the JPMorgan BetaBuilders USD Investment Grade Corp and the JPMorgan BetaBuilders USD High Yield Corp.
Family Dynasty Advisors launches the Tactical Advantage ETF. An actively managed “fund-of ETFs” that targets ETFs which primarily invest in US equity securities or high-yield bonds, the manager will utilise both technical and macroeconomic indicators to evaluate both the specific underlying ETFs and broad economic data to forecast market trends; and determine preferred ETFs to target.
DriveWealth launched the DriveWealth ICE 100 Index ETF. The solution will encompass the top 100 US listed ETFs, and will track the ICE DriveWealth 100 Index, a rules-based, equal-weighted index consisting of the 100 top ETFs based on a methodology that ranks eligible funds according to size, liquidity, and risk-adjusted return. The index will rebalance quarterly.
Columbia Threadneedle Investments launched the Columbia Research Enhanced Real Estate ETF. The ETF seeks investment results that, before fees and expenses, closely correspond to the performance of the Beta Advantage Lionstone Research Enhanced REIT Index. The index is designed to outperform the FTSE Nareit All Equity REITs Index through research-driven security selection and modified market cap weighting that emphasizes income and geographic opportunity.
UBS Investment Bank listed the new ETRACS Whitney US Critical Technologies ETN, tracking the Solactive Whitney U.S. Critical Technologies Index. The launch marks the first engagement of Solactive with J.H. Whitney Data Services LLC.
