Slightly quiet on the launches front this week, with two ESG offerings, one from Xtrackers offering a Nordic region equity ETF aligned with the Paris agreement. Including the new ETF, DWS writes that it has already launched seven equity ETFs based on the same index methodology, providing exposure to the following equity markets: Global industrial and emerging markets, USA, Japan, Europe, Eurozone and now Nordics.
The other ESG offering this week comes from thematic specialists Rize ETF, who launched the Circular Economy ETF. The firm writes that CYCL is Europe’s first Article 9 sustainable thematic ETF specifically targeting publicly listed companies that have been identified as enablers of the transition to a more circular economy.
Australia’s ETF issuers Betashares launched Betashares Global Shares ETF and Betashares Global Shares Currency Hedged ETF, based on Solactive indices. The firm writes that these products are designed to be suitable as core allocations to global equities in a well-constructed investment portfolio. The currency hedged version specifically caters to those seeking to minimise the impact of currency fluctuations on investment returns, the firm says.
