Two new ETF offerings was launched for the week, each with a distinct value proposition for investors.
Allianz Investment Management launched June Buffered ETFs. The AllianzIM U.S. Large Cap Buffer10 Jun ETF and AllianzIM U.S. Large Cap Buffer20 Jun ETF have 12-month outcome periods with a 10 per cent and 20 per cent buffer, respectively. Given the uncertainty that is currently plaguing US financial markets, defined outcome ETFs have continued to gain momentum among investors, given their stated aim of protecting against downside market movements. With the launch of these solutions, AllianzIM’s seeks to provide investors with the opportunity to participate in US equity markets and manage downside risk, simultaneously.
Goldman Sachs Asset Management launched the Goldman Sachs MarketBeta Total International Equity ETF. The ETF will provide investors with diversified access to approximately 85 per cent of the global markets, excluding the US. The mandate will provide investment results that closely correspond to the performance of the Solactive GBS Global Markets ex-United States Large & Mid Cap Index.
