The LSEG Lipper European Fund Industry Trends report for July 2023, authored by Detlef Glow, Head of Lipper EMEA Research at LSEG reveals that Money Market funds (+ EUR15.7 billion) were the best-selling asset type overall for the month, while bond funds were the best-selling asset type and for the year 2023 so far (+ EUR111.3 billion).
Long-term mutual fund products (- EUR1.7 billion) posted estimated net outflows for July 2023 while this product category enjoyed inflows (+ EUR50.7 billion) over the course of the first seven months of the year.
The overall fund flows for mutual funds and ETFs in Europe in July amounted to estimated net inflows (+ EUR14.0 billion), while the European fund industry enjoyed overall inflows (+ EUR72.9 billion) for the year 2023 so far.
Money Market EUR (+ EUR9.7 billion) was the best-selling Lipper Global Classification for the month, while Equity Global (+ EUR37.5 billion) was the best-selling Lipper Global Classification for the year 2023 so far.
BlackRock was the best-selling fund promoter in Europe for July (+ EUR6.9 billion), as well as for the first seven months of 2023 (+ EUR50.7 billion)
