Clough Capital assumes management of Changebridge Capital’s active ETFs

Clough Capital Partners has entered the active ETF arena by assuming management of two actively managed ETFs: The Changebridge Select Equity ETF (Ticker: CBSE) and the Changebridge Long/Short Equity ETF (Ticker: CBLS).

The Funds will be formally renamed as Clough ETFs on September 13th. Clough has also announced that Vince Lorusso has rejoined the Firm as its new President & CEO. Lorusso will remain the Portfolio Manager for the strategies, a role he has held since their listing on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) in 2020.

The firm writes that Lorusso brings a unique combination of institutional knowledge and an entrepreneurial spirit that will help drive Clough Capital’s growth in the years ahead, having spent time at Natixis Asset Management and Clough Capital before helping to launch Changebridge Capital in 2020. The addition of actively managed ETFs to Clough’s existing line-up of Closed-End Funds, Hedge Funds, and Separately Managed Accounts represents a timely strategic addition to the firm’s offerings, the firm writes.

“We couldn’t be happier about this next chapter of Clough Capital, which now includes the management of Active ETFs,” says Lorusso. “The investment industry will always present opportunities for firms that perform rigorous fundamental research and investors are increasingly demanding broader access to these capabilities. The ETF structure represents a great avenue for the team at Clough Capital to deliver institutional-calibre research in a client-centric structure.”

Clough Capital has a history as an investment manager dating back to 1999, with a reputation for disciplined fundamental analysis, a global perspective, and actively managing strategies across market cycles. The decision by Lorusso to rejoin Clough Capital and integrate the two active ETFs he manages into Clough Capital’s existing research & operational infrastructure means that Changebridge’s ETF investors immediately gain access to Clough Capital’s experienced team of professionals, the firm says.

“We built Clough Capital more than two decades ago to deliver investment strategies that meet our client’s needs,” says Chairman and Founder Chuck Clough. “The addition of actively managed ETFs under Lorusso’s leadership is a natural extension of the client-centric approach we’ve always taken towards product development and expanding our research capabilities.”
