ARK Invest Europe has appointed Paul Spells as Director of Northern European Sales.

Spells was previously at CIRCA5000, where he was head of ETF Sales UK. Prior to that, Spells was Sales Director at Orpheus Partners and Business Development Manager at LGBR Capital.

In his new role, Spells will report directly to James Thomas, Head of Sales at ARK Invest Europe.

This comes shortly after ARK Invest Europe launched its first European UCITS ETFs – the ARK Innovation UCITS ETF, the ARK Genomic Revolution UCITS ETF and the ARK Artificial Intelligence & Robotics UCITS ETF.

Thomas says: “The hire marks a pivotal moment for ARK Invest, underscoring our enhanced commitment to our European investors. With his expertise in European market dynamics and a strong track record in selling Active and Sustainable strategies, Paul is well equipped to amplify our capabilities and improve our client service in this crucial region.

“We are excited to welcome Paul to our team and eagerly anticipate the fresh perspectives and vigour he will contribute to our expanding sales force as we pursue ongoing innovation and growth.”

Spells added: “I am thrilled to join ARK Invest and look forward to leveraging my previous experience across both active and sustainable ETFs, to contribute to the company’s innovative approach to investing. I look forward to engaging with investors in the coming months across Europe to discuss the exciting investment opportunities at ARK Invest.”
