Some 14 new ETF offerings were launched for the week, each with a distinct value proposition for investors. Detailed below are the respective launches from each asset manager.
Harbor Capital launched the Harbor Active Small Cap ETF (Ticker: SMLL), an actively managed solution that invests in a mix of growth and value small cap companies. The fund will invest only in businesses with sustainable competitive advantages run by competent management teams that are good stewards of capital with a track record of success. Candidates for inclusion in SMLL must also trade at a discount to their intrinsic value.
Calamos Investment launched two ETFs, the Calamos S&P 500 Structured Alt Protection ETF – September (Ticker: CPST) and Calamos Nasdaq-100® Structured Alt Protection ETF – September (Ticker: CPNS).
CPTS is designed to match the positive price return of the S&P 500 up to a defined cap while protecting against 100 per cent of losses over a one-year period. Whereas, CPNS is designed to match the positive price return of the Nasdaq-100 up to a defined cap while protecting against 100 per cent of losses over a one-year period.
GraniteShares launched three short and leveraged single-stock ETFs, which were:
GraniteShares 2x Long PLTR Daily ETF (Ticker: PTIR), which seeks daily investment results of 2 times (200 per cent) the daily percentage change of the common stock of Palantir Technologies Inc. (Ticker: PLTR).
GraniteShares 2x Long UBER Daily ETF (Ticker: UBRL), which seeks daily investment results of 2 times (200 per cent) the daily percentage change of the common stock of Uber Technologies Inc. (Ticker: UBER).
GraniteShares 1X Short COIN Daily ETF (Ticker: CONI), which seeks daily investment results of -1 times (-100 per cent) the daily percentage change of the common stock of Coinbase Global Inc, (Ticker: COIN).
