RELATED TOPICS

There were 11 new ETF offerings launched in the week, each with a distinct value proposition for investors. Detailed below are the respective launches from each asset manager.

KraneShares launched the KraneShares Man Buyout Beta Index ETF (Ticker: BUYO), which seeks to track the performance of the Man Buyout Beta Index. The index is designed to apply the key return drivers of Private Equity (PE)/Buyout Funds to public equities. The fund employs a systematic approach to selecting a portfolio of small-to mid-cap stocks from the Russell 2500 Index, targeting industries favoured by PE firms and companies similar in size and displaying similar company-specific characteristics as those in traditional PE funds.

YieldMax launched the YieldMax PLTR Option Income Strategy ETF (Ticker: PLTY). PLTY has two goals. First, it aims to provide investors with current income. Second, it seeks to provide exposure to the common share price of Palantir Technologies Inc. (Ticker: PLTR). To achieve its investment goals, PLTY utilises a synthetic covered call strategy. Using a covered call strategy, the fund could simultaneously provide both yield and indirect exposure to PLTRI’s share price returns.

First Trust launched the First Trust New Constructs Core Earnings Leaders ETF (Ticker: FTCE), which replicates the price and yield of the Bloomberg New Constructs Core Earnings Leaders Index. The index tracks the performance of 100 companies with high Earnings Capture using data from New Constructs, a leading-edge investment research firm.

3EDGE Asset Management launched 4 ETFs, namely:

The 3EDGE Dynamic Fixed Income Equity ETF (Ticker: EDGF), an actively managed fixed-income solution that provides exposure to both U.S. and non-US debt and is focused on Treasuries (government-issued), investment grade, and high-yield debt.

The 3EDGE Dynamic U.S. Equity ETF (Ticker: EDGU), an actively managed US equity solution that invests in large, mid, and small market capitalisation firms, across all sectors and investment styles (i.e., value, growth).

The 3EDGE Dynamic International Equity ETF (Ticker: EDGI), an actively managed international equity solution that invests in non-U.S. companies across the market capitalisation spectrum, with no preferential leaning towards a particular sector or investment styles (i.e., value, growth).

The 3EDGE Dynamic Hard Assets ETF (Ticker: EDGH), an actively managed tangible assets solution that provides exposure to physical hard assets (e.g., gold, etc.), futures-based commodity exposures (e.g., energy, agriculture, etc.), as well as other inflation-protective assets (e.g., US TIPS – Treasury Inflation-Protected Securities).

Direxion launched four single stock and inverse ETFs based on Broadcom and Micron Technologies.

The Direxion Daily AVGO Bull 2X Shares (Ticker: AVL) and Direxion Daily AVGO Bear 1X Shares (Ticker: AVS) seek daily investment results of 200 per cent and 100 per cent of the inverse (or opposite), respectively, of the performance of the common shares of Broadcom Inc. (Ticker: AVGO).

The Direxion Daily MU Bull 2X Shares (Ticker: MUU) and Direxion Daily MU Bear 1X Shares (Ticker: MUD) seek daily investment results of 200 per cent and 100 per cent of the inverse (or opposite), respectively, of the performance of the common shares of Micron Technologies (Ticker: MU).

Calamos Investments launches two ETFs, namely:

Calamos Russell 2000 Structured Alt Protection ETF – October (Ticker: CPRO), designed to match the positive price return of the Russell 2000 up to a defined cap while protecting against 100 per cent of losses over a one-year period.

Calamos S&P 500 Structured Alt Protection ETF – October (Ticker: CPSO), designed to match the positive price return of the S&P 500 up to a defined cap while protecting against 100 per cent of losses over a one-year period.
