The Singapore ETF market reports record high in AUM

In 1H2025, SGX-listed ETFs recorded net inflows of SGD700 million, supported by SGD1.2 billion in net creations across 22 ETFs, alongside SGD500 million in net redemptions from 13 ETFs.

As of June 2025, the Singapore ETF market comprised 47 listings with total AUM at SGD14.3 billion —up 32 per cent y-o-y.

ETF daily turnover rose 44 per cent y-o-y, surpassing SGD23 million in 1H2025.

Equity and Gold ETFs led the growth, with turnover increasing by 69 per cent and 62 per cent respectively.

Retail segment turnover also saw strong momentum, climbing 67 per cent year-on-year.

Spotlight on SGD assets:

Driven by a declining SGD rates and robust market momentum, SG focused ETFs saw inflows of SGD568 million.

Combined AUM of SPDR Straits Times Index ETF (ES3) and Nikko AM Singapore STI ETF (G3B) hit a record high of SGD2.8 billion in June 2025.

S-REIT focused ETFs saw SGD187 million in net inflows with AUM over SGD1 billion.

Gold ETF crossed SGD2 billion in AUM:

SPDR Gold Shares (GSD/ O87) marked its 13th straight month of net inflows, totalling SGD578 million —including SGD358 million in the first half of 2025.

Local investor interest has surged, with holdings rising 75 per cent y-o-y to reach SGD2.4 billion.

Sustainability-linked ETFs reached SGD2.2 billion in AUM:

iShares MSCI Asia Ex Japan Climate Action ETF (ICU/ICM), which hit a record SGD1.8 billion following net inflows of SGD84M in 2Q25.

The ETF offer the lowest total expense ratio (0.18 per cent) among Asia ex-Japan ETFs globally and has also outperformed peers tracking the MSCI AC Asia Ex Japan Index in 1-Y total returns.

UOB APAC Green REIT ETF (GRN) emerged as the top performer among the sustainability linked ETFs in 1H2025, with total return of 9.30 per cent.

Amova E Fund ChiNext Index ETF (CXT/ CXN) is set to list on July 22

It is the 10th ETF under the China-Singapore ETF product link and the first A-Share ETF on SGX to offer an SGD-hedged share class, helping investors manage FX volatility.

As of June 2025, the cross-border initiative between SSE, SZSE and SGX has a combined AUM of SGD526 million.
