European ETF Market Wrap: Flows, Performance and Leaders | Week 23, 2026

Here’s a recap of European ETF action between June 1 and June 5, from our data partners, Trackinsight, highlighting how capital moved and performance varied across asset classes, regions, and themes.

According to data by Trackinsight, European-listed Equity ETFs attracted €7.65 billion during the week, the largest allocation across all asset classes. Fixed Income ETFs gathered €2.59 billion, while Commodity ETPs added €246.6 million.

Multi-Asset ETFs recorded inflows of €4.0 million. Cryptocurrency ETFs registered outflows of €15.2 million, while Currency ETFs declined by €0.7 million. Volatility products were unchanged over the period.

Sector Equity ETF Flows: Technology Leads Allocations

Information Technology ETFs attracted €417.7 million, the largest sector inflow of the week. Materials gathered €77.4 million, while Health Care added €44.3 million. Utilities attracted €35.7 million, and Communication Services recorded inflows of €19.9 million. Consumer Discretionary added €8.6 million.

Energy ETFs recorded the largest sector outflow at €99.7 million. Consumer Staples declined by €78.6 million, while Financials lost €51.4 million. Real Estate recorded outflows of €32.0 million, and Industrials declined by €12.7 million.

Sector Equity Performance: Energy Leads While Materials Declines

Energy delivered the strongest sector performance of the week, rising 3.31%. Health Care gained 1.74%, while Utilities advanced 1.09%.

Consumer Staples rose 0.39% during the period.

Financials declined 0.42%, while Real Estate fell 1.75%. Communication Services lost 2.84%, Consumer Discretionary declined 3.44%, and Information Technology fell 3.62%.

Industrials declined 3.77%, while Materials recorded the weakest sector performance with a decline of 7.62%.

Geographic Equity ETF Flows: World, US and Developed Markets Dominate

World equity ETFs attracted €2.81 billion in inflows, the largest geographic allocation of the week. US-focused products gathered €2.59 billion, while Developed Markets exposures added €2.04 billion.

Emerging Markets attracted €324.0 million, while South Korea gathered €177.3 million. Japan added €138.8 million, Switzerland attracted €136.9 million, and Europe exposures gathered €114.7 million. Emerging Markets Asia added €100.9 million.

Eurozone ETFs recorded the largest geographic outflow at €960.0 million. UK exposures declined by €220.4 million, while India lost €212.3 million. Sweden recorded outflows of €111.1 million.

Geographic Equity Performance: Philippines Leads Gains

Philippines recorded the strongest geographic performance among the highlighted markets, advancing 5.24% during the week. Greater China gained 2.37%.

On the downside, Indonesia declined 7.36%. South Africa fell 4.43%, while South Korea lost 3.93%. Hong Kong declined 3.52%, Latin America fell 3.51%, and Brazil lost 3.34%.

Thematic ETF Flows: Robotics & Automation Leads

Robotics & Automation ETFs attracted €197.1 million, the largest thematic inflow of the week. Net Zero 2050 gathered €184.0 million, while Artificial Intelligence & Big Data added €134.1 million.

Disruptive Technology attracted €89.6 million, and Strategic Metals gathered €83.5 million.

Cybersecurity ETFs recorded outflows of €44.6 million during the period.

Thematic ETF Performance: Energy Infrastructure Leads While Space & Deep Sea Declines

North America Energy Infrastructure delivered the strongest thematic performance, advancing 3.92% during the week. Healthcare Technology & Innovation gained 3.59%.

Space & Deep Sea recorded a decline of 17.21%, the weakest thematic performance among those highlighted. Cryptocurrency fell 15.98%, while Solar Energy declined 11.07%.

Blockchain lost 8.83%, Hydrogen Economy fell 7.11%, and Alternative Energy declined 5.93%.

Fixed Income ETF Flows: Government Investment Grade Leads

Government Investment Grade ETFs attracted €1.18 billion, the largest fixed income allocation of the week.

Corporate Investment Grade products gathered €918.3 million, while Aggregate Investment Grade ETFs added €269.3 million.

Corporate High Yield products attracted €128.6 million during the period.

Commodity ETP Flows: Gold Leads Commodity Allocations

Gold ETPs attracted €227.1 million in inflows during the week, the largest allocation within commodities.

Multi Commodities products gathered €54.7 million.

Copper ETPs recorded outflows of €22.9 million.

Cryptocurrency ETP Flows: Hyperliquid Records Inflows

Hyperliquid products attracted €2.9 million during the week.

Bitcoin ETPs recorded outflows of €11.9 million, while Solana products declined by €7.7 million. Ondo ETPs recorded outflows of €3.0 million.
