Capital Investment Trust Corporation launches Capital US Tech Giant ETF

RELATED TOPICS

Solactive has announced its first collaboration with Capital Investment Trust Corporation through the launch of the Capital US Tech Giant ETF, which tracks the Solactive US Tech Giant Index.

Listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange, the ETF is designed to provide investors with targeted exposure to leading U.S. technology companies characterised by significant scale and selected financial and growth-related attributes.

The firm writes that US technology leaders continue to play a central role in global equity markets, supported by strong balance sheets, robust cash generation, and their role in shaping long-term innovation trends across software, digital infrastructure, consumer platforms, and advanced industrial applications. The segment represents a significant component of the U.S. equity market and includes companies characterised by large market capitalisations and established business models.

The Solactive US Tech Giant Index selects a portfolio of at least 30 US technology-related companies from the Solactive United States Technology 100 Index. Eligible companies must meet defined technology sector or industry classifications and minimum liquidity thresholds. Following the selection process, the index applies a multi-factor weighting framework based on free cash flow, price-to-book ratio, return on equity, earnings forecast changes, revenue forecast changes, and momentum. These factors are used to calculate a composite score that is combined with market capitalization in the index weighting process. Constituents are weighted according to an adjusted factor-based market capitalization approach, combining each company’s total market capitalization with its composite factor score. To preserve diversification, the index applies caps at the individual security level and on the aggregate allocation to the largest constituents. The index is rebalanced quarterly.

The ETF was listed on 25 June 2026 on the Taiwan Stock Exchange under the ticker 009824.

Timo Pfeiffer, Chief Markets Officer at Solactive, says: “We are pleased to announce our first collaboration with Capital Investment Trust Corporation and to support the firm with a tailored index solution for its Capital US Tech Giant ETF. At Solactive, we specialise in developing rules-based indices that translate clear investment ideas into transparent and investable strategies. As investors continue to monitor developments among leading US technology companies, this partnership reflects our shared commitment to delivering transparent market access through a disciplined benchmark framework.”
