Fidelity International expands Fundamental Equity ETF range

Fidelity International has announced the launch of the Fidelity US Fundamental Large Cap Growth UCITS ETF, writing that it is expanding its Fundamental Equity ETF range in response to growing client demand, as adoption of active ETFs continues to accelerate across Europe.

“Europe’s active ETF market continues to expand rapidly, with assets in European-domiciled active ETFs reaching USD142.6 billion at the end of August 2026, nearly quadrupling since the end of 2023. Despite this rapid growth, active strategies account for just 3.6 per cent of overall European ETF assets, compared with around 12.8 per cent in the US, highlighting the potential for further adoption.”

The ETF is sub-advised by Fidelity Investments, a separate US-based company, and is available to clients of Fidelity International through its Irish UCITS ETF range. The strategy combines Fidelity Investments’ active management expertise and bottom-up research capabilities with a systematic investment process across the US large-cap growth equity universe, designed to capture the highest-conviction investment ideas from multiple portfolio managers within a single strategy.

The launch builds on Fidelity International’s Fundamental Equity ETF range, introduced in September 2025 with the Fidelity US Fundamental Large Cap Core UCITS ETF and Fidelity US Fundamental Small-Mid Cap UCITS ETF. The firm writes that the two strategies have seen encouraging client interest since launch, reflecting appetite for higher-conviction active equity strategies delivered through an ETF structure.

Neil Davies, Head of ETF Product & Capital Markets for Europe and Asia Pacific at Fidelity International, comments: “Active ETFs are one of the fastest growing areas of the European investment market, and we see significant opportunity ahead as more investors embrace the flexibility, transparency and tradability of the ETF structure.

“Our focus is on capturing that growth by bringing the best of Fidelity’s capabilities to our clients through new and differentiated ETFs. The launch of the Fidelity US Fundamental Large Cap Growth ETF builds on the strong client response to our Fundamental Equity ETF range and is another step in broadening our active ETF offering to meet evolving client needs.”
