ETF Express newsletter 25.02.22

The Ukraine crisis has thrown all thoughts of investment into chaos, and perhaps particularly the emerging markets. But back in the ‘before’ world, iShares’ Jordan Harwood and MSCI’s Jean-Maurice Ladure sat down with me for a webinar on what investing in emerging markets can bring to a portfolio.

Watch the webinar here.

Bailey McCann caught up with Noel Archard this week who has joined AllianceBernstein in the US as Global Head of ETFs and Portfolio Solutions, spearheading the firm’s move into ETFs. Over the long-term Archard plans to add ETF specialists to his team in addition to bringing the first US funds to market. He says he wanted to work with AB because of the depth of their investment platform.

“AB’s strong investment and research approach across multiple asset classes and geographies will lend itself well to delivering new investment opportunities for ETF investors,” Archard said.

Take a moment to catch up on our latest addition to the ETF Innovators’ column, where Adam Gould from Tradeweb is celebrating all things ETF.

In the news this week is a detailed analysis of the ETP market in Hong Kong from Chinese asset manager and ETF issuer CSOP. Chinese demand for ETPs is growing, the firm says.
